Blue Lock

In the nick of time, Yoichi Isagi was almost able to secure his high school soccer team's spot in the national competition, but his decision to pass the ball to a teammate at the last minute proved to be a costly one. Frustrated and crestfallen, he questions whether the outcome could have been different if he hadn't made that choice. Upon returning home, however, Isagi finds an unexpected invitation from the Japan Football Union to participate in a controversial initiative called Blue Lock, which aims to mold one of the selected U-18 strikers into the national team's star player. Despite his reservations, Isagi joins the project, which pits each hopeful against one another in a series of individual and team contests to determine the cream of the crop. Although he initially has moral qualms about the cutthroat nature of the competition, Isagi ultimately decides to go all out in his bid for the top spot, even if it means crushing the aspirations of 299 other aspiring strikers.
